Breakup Behaviors of Viscoelastic Polymer Droplets in 3-D Pore Throat Structure Microchannel

Polymer solution has extremely extensive applications in many natural and industrial processes, especially oilfield development field, such as polymer flooding, fracturing water shut-off. Thus, the study of flow behaviors formation pores is significantly important. In this paper, droplets 3-D pore throat structure were systematically studied. Additionally, influencing factors (polymer concentration, molecular weight ratio, for instance) investigated. As increasing concentration weight, more difficult to break, which means critical rate decreased average sizes first daughter (FDD) longer synchronously. Moreover, with increase increased length FDD decreased. addition, prediction models ratio established, respectively. The model revealed that satisfied an exponential relationship a linear ratio. Finally, size after macroscopic core flooding experiment was 8 μm 17 when 0.01% 0.1%, results consistent breakup microscopic structure.
